How to Measure Your Axle

Mount both 12" electric brakes of your axle with this complete pack. Set of 10 3/8" UNC bolts with nuts for 12" brake backing plates. Enough for both brakes of one axle, at 5 bolts per brake.

This pack holds the 10 bolts needed to fasten both 12" brake backing plates to the flanges of one axle. It is the right size for a complete brake job, without counting parts one by one.

12" electric brakes are fitted on the 5200 and 7000 lb axles of flatbed, equipment and job site trailers. Replacing every bolt along with the brakes avoids mounting new brakes with rusty hardware.

They are also used to refit a backing plate removed to service the magnets or shoes. Keep a pack in the garage so a bolt that snaps during removal never holds you up.
