How to Measure Your Axle

Link the springs of both axles so they share the load evenly. Zinc-plated 5-3/4" x 2" triangle equalizer for 1-3/4" double-eye springs on tandem trailers. 9/16" holes for the spring bolts, 5,500 lb capacity.

On a two-axle trailer, the equalizer bridges the front spring and the rear spring. When one wheel climbs a bump, it shifts part of the load to the other axle.

Replace it when its holes are worn oval, when the trailer leans to one side or when the springs wear unevenly. It suits tandem-axle utility trailers, boat trailers and enclosed trailers.

Its zinc-plated finish resists rust better, a plus for trailers that see winter road salt or boat ramp water. Replace the equalizers on both sides at the same time to keep the trailer level.
